Nvidia launches fastest mobile GPU, The Kepler based GTX 680M at Computex


With E3 and Computex going on simultaneously, it was rather surprising that graphics giant Nvidia was keeping quiet. Well, that actually not the case as the company unveiled the world’s fastest mobile GPU, the GTX 680M at Computex. The GTX 680M is also based on the company’s Kepler architecture.
Additionally the company has announced that this GPU will be seen in the upcoming Alienware M17x and M18x. In the meanwhile, check out some of the salient features of the GTX 600M GPU family below.
  • Adaptive V-sync – Newly developed technology for a smoother gameplay experience
  • Advanced AA modes  – For crisper images, including NVIDIA FXAA and new TXAA.
  • NVIDIA Optimus technology – Enables extra-long battery life by automatically switching on the GPU only when it is needed.

  • NVIDIA 3D Vision 2 technology – It enables bigger, brighter, more comfortable 3D gaming.
  • NVIDIA 3DTV Play software – It is designed for connecting notebooks to 3DTVs for the most immersive gaming experience to be had in a living room
  • High-performance NVIDIA Verde notebook drivers  – It offers day one game support and maximum compatibility
  • NVIDIA SLI technology – It can make a notebook GPU even faster with up to double the gaming performance
  • NVIDIA CUDA technology support – It facilitates high-performance GPU computing applications
